Air Conditioning and Ductless Repair in Queensbury, NY
Central air, ductless mini-splits and heat pumps in cooling mode. When the house gets sticky, call and a local tech comes to you.

What we fix
Central air
Capacitors, contactors, condenser fan motors, compressors, refrigerant leaks and frozen coils. We test the whole system, not just the part that failed.
Ductless mini-splits
Single and multi-zone systems: drain clogs, dirty coils, sensor faults and error codes. Installs for rooms the ductwork never reached.
Tune-ups
Coil cleaning, electrical checks, refrigerant readings and drain clearing, so the first hot week is not the week it quits.
Replacements
When repair stops making sense, we size a new system to the house and lay out the options side by side.

Before you call
- Is the thermostat on Cool and set below room temperature?
- Is the outdoor unit's breaker on?
- Is the filter clean?
- Is the outdoor unit clear of leaves and grass?
- Is there ice on the copper lines? If so, switch to Fan only.
Cooling questions
Why is my AC running but blowing warm air?
Check the breaker for the outdoor unit and make sure the thermostat is on Cool. If the fan inside runs but the outdoor unit is silent or humming, the usual suspects are a failed capacitor, a stuck contactor, or a compressor that will not start. Warm air with the outdoor unit running often points to low refrigerant from a leak.
Why is there ice on my AC lines?
Ice on the copper line or the indoor coil means the coil is running too cold. That comes from low airflow (dirty filter, closed vents, a weak blower) or low refrigerant. Turn the cooling off and run only the fan so it thaws, then call. Running a frozen system can damage the compressor.
Why is water leaking from my indoor unit?
Your AC pulls water out of the air and drains it through a condensate line. When that line clogs with algae, or the pan cracks, the water ends up on the floor. A ductless head that drips usually has a blocked drain or a dirty coil.
Are ductless mini-splits a good fit for older homes?
Often, yes. Ductless systems heat and cool without running new ductwork, which makes them a strong fit for older homes, additions, finished basements, garages and lake camps around Glen Lake and Lake George.
How often should my AC be serviced?
Once a year, before the summer. A tune-up cleans the coils, checks the electrical parts and the refrigerant, and clears the drain. The fall leaves around here pack condenser fins fast, so keep two feet of clearance around the outdoor unit.
How long does a central air conditioner last?
Many central systems last somewhere between 12 and 17 years, depending on how well they were installed and maintained. If yours is in that range and needs a major repair, ask us to price a repair and a replacement side by side.
